Programs not sponsored by the WMAIA or the AIA are listed as a courtesy; the list is neither exhaustive nor complete.

The WMAIA Design Awards program is held every two years, in even-numbered years. This awards program alternates with the Green Giants Award program, which is held every two years in odd-numbered years.
In 2022, the WMAIA received 13 entries. Three Honor Awards – the highest award category – were presented; two Merit Awards were given, and one Citation Awards was presented. The Chapter also held an informal Architects’ Choice runoff during the Annual Meeting; one project was given that award.
Since 2013, the Green Giants Award Program has been honoring the work of trades people, educators, and owners/program directors who help build, teach about, envision and fund the green buildings in Hampshire, Hampden, Franklin, and Berkshire counties.
The program is held every two years, in odd-numbered years. It alternates with the WMAIA Design Awards Program, which is held every two years in even-numbered years.
