Firm Profile Joseph Mattei and Associates, AIA Joe Mattei of Joseph Mattei & Associates, AIA, has practiced architecture in the western New England area since 1967, working for architects in Springfield, MA while attending college. He also worked for architects in Connecticut, Kansas, Missouri and Colorado, before starting his own practice in 1982. He has always been involved in a generalist practice. Varied projects such as restaurants, banks, schools, maintenance garages, car washes, shopping centers, as well as religious facilities, convenience stores and residential projects have made up a palette of experiences from which to provide expertise for his clients.
